A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving an elementary school setting in Bishopville, SC. This role involves working directly with students aged 3-12, providing essential speech and language support within a dynamic educational environment. The position runs from August 1, 2025, through May 29, 2026, with onsite hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech therapy services to a caseload of approximately 56 students.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track progress aligned with pediatric and school-based standards.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students communication needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare and school regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for Speech-Language Pathologist preferred.
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy and familiarity with school-based settings.
- Candidates with credentials in healthcare or pediatric SLP, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or SLPA experience in school or healthcare environments are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, combined with the ability to manage a sizeable caseload efficiently.
- Commitment to onsite work hours and collaboration with school staff.
