School Occupational Therapist (OT) Position Summary:

• Job Type: Full-time contract (renewable)
• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours
• Location: Onsite in Spanaway, Washington
• Caseload: K12 students (assignment based on experience and need)

School Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Requirements:

• Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active or pending Washington OT license (or eligible to obtain)
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)

School Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations of students fine motor, sensory, and functional self-care skills
• Create and implement individualized occupational therapy plans aligned with IEP or 504 goals
• Deliver direct therapy services in individual or small group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to recommend strategies, tools, and accommodations for student success
• Maintain documentation of assessments, progress notes, and therapy sessions in accordance with IDEA, district, and state regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and parent conferences
• Provide staff training on sensory processing, classroom adaptations, and equipment use
• Stay current on best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy
