Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a high school located in Gilroy, CA. This is a contract role reporting directly to the Director of Special Education, with a Monday through Friday schedule. The role requires in-person attendance and involves providing services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Key Responsibilities: Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, articulation, and auditory skills for students referred for special education services. Collaborate as an active member of the multidisciplinary team to develop and interpret Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students with communication impairments to enhance their academic and personal growth. Provide consultative support and training to school staff and families regarding speech-language needs and intervention strategies. Maintain effective communication with families, school personnel, and healthcare providers to monitor student progress. Assist in the development of appropriate language programs for classroom and community settings. Qualifications: Active California Speech Language Pathology license. Demonstrated dedication to supporting students with special education needs and their families. Experience with assessment, evaluation, and consultation in school settings preferred. Strong knowledge of special education processes, disability categories, and early intervention techniques. Excellent communication skills, incorporating active listening and professionalism. Ability to foster positive relationships with staff, students, and community partners. Ability to integrate a lighthearted and engaging approach within professional duties.
