A K-12 school in Vallejo, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position during the school year (NSY). This role offers an opportunity to support students with speech and language disorders through comprehensive evaluation and targeted therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations of students with speech and language disorders to identify specific needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals
- Conduct engaging therapy sessions focusing on speech and language development
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously to inform ongoing care
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated treatment approaches
- Involve and educate families to support therapy outcomes outside of sessions
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Additional Requirements:
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology for California
- Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
