Speech Therapist , Skilled Rehab / Nursing Home Department

Job Type\: full-time , Day S hift

Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following\:

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.

• Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.

• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.

• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.

• Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.

Minimum Education Master's of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology is required. Required Licenses Current Speech-language Pathology License in State of Tennessee is required. Required Certifications\: The below certifications will be required at the time of hire\: Basic Life Support (BLS)
