This position offers an opportunity to provide Occupational Therapy services within a high school setting, serving students in grades 9 through 12. The role requires working approximately 14 to 15 hours per week during the 2025-2026 school year, from August 12 to May 22. The caseload includes roughly 44 students enrolled in direct instruction and general education courses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct Occupational Therapy intervention totaling 615 minutes per month across all programming and an additional 225 minutes per semester.
- Provide consultative support amounting to 640 minutes monthly and 720 minutes per semester to enhance student outcomes.
- Collaborate with instructional staff and support teams to integrate therapeutic strategies that facilitate student access to the curriculum.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with state licensure requirements and school policies.
- Conduct sessions onsite to engage with students directly within the educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold an active Illinois Occupational Therapy License.
- Experience providing OT services in both healthcare and school-based settings is essential.
- Ability to work effectively with high school students, adapting interventions to diverse learning and functional needs.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation to support interdisciplinary collaboration.
