Pediatric School Speech Pathology Bridgeport, Connecticut

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Bridgeport, CT, providing support to elementary students from pre-K through 6th grade. This contract position runs from the start date through June 17, 2025, with a maximum of 20 hours per week between 7:15 am and 3:15 pm.

This role involves working at an elementary school serving 23 students, where your expertise will contribute to a trauma-sensitive learning environment that integrates social-emotional development alongside rigorous academics. The ideal candidate will hold a Connecticut SLP license and have experience in school settings, enhancing communication skills through tailored speech therapy services.

Key qualifications and skills include:

• SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience in healthcare, pediatric speech-language therapy, or teletherapy
• CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) completion or relevant pediatric caseload experience
• School-based SLP practice preferred

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students from pre-K to 6th grade
• Collaborating with teachers, families, and staff to support student progress
• Providing teletherapy services if necessary
