School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Neosho, Missouri

This position offers an opportunity to support students in a K-3 educational setting within a school district located in Neosho, MO. The role involves working as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential speech therapy services to elementary students, supporting their communication development and academic progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized speech therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Deliver speech-only Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and combined speech and Specific Learning Disability (SLD) support.
  • Collaborate with the SLP assigned to each elementary building, sharing responsibilities across two possible elementary schools.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and parent communications as required.
  • Manage schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break, five days per week.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certification and/or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Experience working in K-3 school environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with implementing speech and language services in compliance with educational and therapeutic standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, educators, and families.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Location:

  • Position based in Neosho, Missouri within a K-12 school district, with shared duties between two elementary buildings.
