This position offers an opportunity to support students in a K-3 educational setting within a school district located in Neosho, MO. The role involves working as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential speech therapy services to elementary students, supporting their communication development and academic progress.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Deliver speech-only Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and combined speech and Specific Learning Disability (SLD) support.
- Collaborate with the SLP assigned to each elementary building, sharing responsibilities across two possible elementary schools.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports.
- Participate in team meetings and parent communications as required.
- Manage schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break, five days per week.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Certification and/or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working in K-3 school environments preferred.
- Familiarity with implementing speech and language services in compliance with educational and therapeutic standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, educators, and families.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Location:
- Position based in Neosho, Missouri within a K-12 school district, with shared duties between two elementary buildings.
