A Pediatric Physical Therapist is needed to provide therapeutic services within a K-8 school setting located in Sterling Heights, MI. This position is a contract role running from August 26, 2025, through June 12, 2026, with a PRN schedule, allowing flexibility to work as needed throughout the school year. The therapist will serve a caseload of students from kindergarten through 8th grade, focusing on supporting their physical development and helping them achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled physical therapy assessments and interventions tailored to the needs of K-8 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote functional mobility and independence.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students progress.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide health initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience in pediatric physical therapy, preferably within school and healthcare settings.
- Ability to work effectively with children of varied abilities and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to provide services on an as-needed basis.
