The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. The LifeWorks Schools are currently hiring for a full-time Occupational Therapist to support our LifeWorks School System. The position hours are 8am to 4pm during the academic school year and 8:30am to 1:340 pm during the ESY program.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support student’s ability to participate in desired daily school activities or “occupations.” Help students to fulfill their role as students by supporting their academic achievement and promoting positive behaviors necessary for learning. Support academic and non-academic outcomes, including social skills, math, reading and writing (i.e., literacy), behavior management, self-help skills, prevocational/vocational participation, transportation, and more. Facilitating student access to curricular and extracurricular activities while focusing on the students’ strengths and can design/implement programming to improve inclusion and accessibility, such as Universal Design for Learning.

QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree Education or related Human Service field, Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of direct experience in a school or mental health treatment setting.
Licensure: Current applicable licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
