Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist Nixa, Missouri

A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a K-12 school setting in Nixa, MO. This contract position spans the academic year and involves serving students across two school buildings, working closely with building principals and the Director of Special Services. The role offers a mixed caseload of approximately 35 to 40 students ranging from Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) through 4th grade, and high school age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language services to a diverse caseload in both elementary and high school environments.
• Collaborate with school leadership and special services teams to deliver targeted interventions.
• Conduct evaluations and create individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Potentially supervise an onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), with the SLP focusing on evaluations.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable state regulations and district policies.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid SLP Missouri Certification.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
• Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, including healthcare and teletherapy modalities.
• Eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if applicable.
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while balancing direct therapy and evaluation duties.

Schedule and Environment:

• 7.5-hour workdays, 5 days per week during the school year.
