Pediatric School Speech Therapist

The role involves a 37.5-hour workweek supporting pediatric populations in schools. Key responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations to develop accurate diagnoses. Implementing and adjusting evidence-based treatment plans for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Educating and supporting patients and families on communication strategies and daily management of disorders. Maintaining detailed documentation of assessments, treatment progress, and plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborating with healthcare providers and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic patient care. Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Valid Maryland speech-language pathology license or eligibility for licensure. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP). Skilled in diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. Proficient with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, electronic health records, and software used in clinical environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
