Summary

The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas at Harris Health Ben Taub Hospital is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. The ideal candidate should have experience in the evaluation and treatment of Neonates and swallowing disorders. Ability to practice independently is preferred. The successful candidate will work within a growing multidisciplinary team of laryngologists, H&N surgeons, other SLPs, and SLP students.

Job Duties
  • Evaluates and treats inpatient and outpatient adults and pediatric patients with communication disorders and/or
    swallowing disorders.
  • Schedules appointments, discusses patient progress and/or status with physicians and other professionals.
  • Provides patient/family education.
  • Monitors patient needs.
  • Documents daily treatment and evaluation results.
  • May supervise student externs.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • One year of relevant experience.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and Texas State Licensure as a Speech Pathologist from the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR).
