The Recruitment Range For This Position Is $64,211 - $66,474
The Speech Language Pathologist provides evaluation and treatment services to children and families enrolled in or referred to the North Carolina Infant Toddler Program (NC ITP). This position supports early identification and intervention for communicative disorders among children from birth to age three, in accordance with Federal and State regulations. Services are delivered in the childs natural environment, typically in the home, and may include direct treatment when no other provider is available.
This role contributes to the effective implementation of early intervention services through the local Children's Developmental Services Agency (CDSA), supporting interdisciplinary evaluation, care planning, and caregiver coaching within a multi-county region. The position supports collaboration among families, providers, and other CDSA staff to promote child development through evidence-based approaches.
Key Duties Include:Conducting comprehensive speech/language evaluations for children birth to three.
Determining eligibility for services within the NC ITP using standardized tools.
Delivering direct therapy services, including oral-motor and phonological interventions, as needed.
Providing coaching to families to support language development within daily routines.
Documenting evaluations, service plans, and treatment notes accurately and timely.
Participating in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings and outcome planning.
Consulting with families and community providers regarding developmental impacts and strategies.
Assisting with in-service training and providing technical guidance to staff and partners.
Maintaining compliance with documentation and reimbursement standards.
Contributing to quality assurance efforts and attending required trainings and meetings.

Demonstrated experience using the techniques, and methods of speech/language pathology as applicable to children birth to three, including speech and language development, articulation, phonology, oral-motor function, and preferably in pediatric dysphagia.
Experience working with augmentative communication options and devices as applicable to children birth to three.
Documented experience evaluating patient response and developing service plans using an evidence-based Early Intervention Caregiver Coaching model or similar evidence-based model
Experience presenting patient results or evaluative reports
Management Preferences:
Competence in evaluating and treating pediatric feeding disorders
Experience with and/or willingness to learn delivery of SLP services via teletherapy
Experience with service delivery in natural environments preferred
Fluency in Spanish is a plus
