Easterseals Western and Central PA** has been serving people with disabilities for over 100 years. We have a full-time opening for an **Occupational Therapist working with children ages 3-8 at our Cranberry Township school.** The position is Monday through Friday from 8:30am-3pm with the rate of pay of $32.76 per hour.
**JOB SUMMARY-Occupational Therapist**
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the identification, evaluation, and treatment of fine motor skills, ADL's/ IADL's and therapeutic feeding (when applicable) needs of consumers of Easterseals School programs and services.
**QUALIFICATIONS-Occupational Therapist**
- Graduate from an accredited school of occupational therapy required.
- PA Occupational Therapy license (or eligible for license) required.
- Certification from National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. required.
- Completion of educational credits needed to maintain license/certification required.
- Prior pediatric experience preferred.
- Acceptable Criminal Record, Child Abuse History and Department of Education FBI Clearance required.
- Passing of physical examination and TB required.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES --Occupational Therapist**
1. Evaluate students to determine impairments including but not limited to: fine motor concerns, visual motor integration, activities of daily living, sensory integration, handwriting, oral motor and feeding management, developmental delay.
2. Evaluate functional feeding skills, develop a written functional feeding protocol, make referrals as necessary, and train site staff in appropriate therapeutic feeding intervention strategies as needed on an ongoing basis. This is done in conjunction with the Speech Language Pathologist.
3. Implement interdisciplinary aspects of students' current IEP, which includes, but is not limited to: developmental concerns, behavioral interventions, feeding approaches, sensory diet, and mobility recommendations.
4. Serve as a resource to team members in areas related to ADL's/ IADL's and therapeutic feeding and specific student programs.

- Work hours are Monday - Friday, **8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.**, **6-hour days. Working only 32.5 hours per week, with a typical school calendar of 9.5 months per year! The hourly rate of pay is $32.76. The annual salary is $43,652. **We also offer the option to earn extra income with summer employment as well.
