Description

  • Deliver individual speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to craft unified care approaches.
  • Provide education to patients and families, facilitating progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Support with occasional inpatient evaluations and actions related to speech therapy, maintaining seamless care throughout the treatment journey.
  • Keep comprehensive and timely records in line with regulatory and organizational standards.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
