Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized testing as well as observational methods.
  • Design tailored treatment strategies aimed at achieving both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that emphasize aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage in cooperative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish cohesive care pathways.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and their families to reinforce progress made beyond clinical settings.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient's rehabilitation experience.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through continued education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Pathologist .
  • AsHAs Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within the first month of employment.
