Description

  • Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and elderly demographics through standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals both short-term and long-term.
  • Engage in personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on articulation, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to support advancement throughout and outside clinical appointments.
  • Perform occasional evaluations and interventions for inpatient speech therapy to ensure continuity in patient care.
  • Maintain timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
  • Commit to professional growth and stay updated with the latest advancements through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized program.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

  • State license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based therapy for all age groups, exhibiting a strong understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
