Enhance student achievement through communication services as an SLP based in Tacoma, WA . This full-time contract role for the 20252026 school year involves working across two school sites with students ranging from preschool through high school.
Start/End Date : August 2025 June 2026
Hours : Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
Caseload : Students ages PreK12, typically assigned to 2 schools
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for referred students
Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives
Provide direct and consultative therapy services (individual and group sessions)
Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to support student needs
Maintain accurate student records, documentation, and progress monitoring
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team evaluations
Support early identification and intervention for communication delays
Provide training to staff on classroom communication strategies
Comply with IDEA, Washington OSPI, and district regulations
Apply evidence-based practices and pursue ongoing professional development
Qualifications :
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Valid WA ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Certificate in Speech-Language Pathology
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
School-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
