A temporary opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in pediatric and school-based services. This contract position supports a K-12 educational setting in Irvine, CA, covering a leave of absence. The ideal candidate will bring both clinical knowledge and a passion for advancing students' communication skills in a school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address students' communication needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain clear, compliant documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer professional recommendations
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in healthcare and pediatric settings preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required
- Previous employment or clinical experience within K-12 school systems is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organizational skills
