COTA in Washington, DC

A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to support K-12 students in a Washington, DC school setting on a contract basis. This role requires the ability to work directly with students to improve their motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to the individual needs of K-12 students.
• Assist in developing and implementing intervention plans.
• Monitor and document student progress.
• Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to support student goals.
• Ensure compliance with school and state guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Experience working in educational settings preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques for pediatric populations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
