School-Based COTA Pleasant Hill, Oregon

A Contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Pleasant Hill, OR. This role involves working closely with occupational therapists and school staff to provide therapeutic services that help students develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students to enhance motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.
• Document student progress and communicate effectively with therapists, teachers, and families.
• Adapt treatment techniques to meet the unique needs of each student within the educational environment.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative problem solving to support student success.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or pediatric therapy setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of developmental, sensory, and functional therapy approaches applicable to pediatric populations.
