A K-12 school in Hoquiam, WA is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students across all grade levels. This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly with children in a dynamic educational environment, enhancing their functional abilities and participation in school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
• Assist students with developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges to improve their independence and success in the classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to tailor interventions that meet individual student needs.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs).

Desired Qualifications:

• Current COTA certification/licensure in the state of Washington.
• Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
