A Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide comprehensive speech and language services within a K-12 school setting in Lowell, MA. This role focuses on delivering assessment, intervention, and consultation services to students with diverse communication needs throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
- Participate in meetings such as Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and team discussions
Qualifications:
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Completion of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under supervision
- Experience working with school-aged children across K-12 grade levels
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies
- Effective communication and organizational skills suitable for a school environment
