What Youll Do as a Home Health Occupational Therapist:
- Provide skilled occupational therapy to patients in their homes based on individualized treatment plans.
- Develop purposeful activities and interventions designed to improve physical, emotional, and cognitive function.
- Evaluate patient progress and revise plans of care as necessary to achieve maximum functional independence.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment to support daily living and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure well-coordinated, high-quality care.
- Document all care, assessments, and interventions clearly and in a timely manner.
- Support patients as they work to regain the skills needed for dressing, grooming, cooking, bathing, and other essential daily activities.
Qualifications What Youll Bring:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current OT license in the state of employment and in good standing with the appropriate state board.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varied home environments.
- Strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid drivers license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
- 1+ year of occupational therapy experience
- Home health or community-based rehab
- Geriatric, neurological, psychiatric, or cardiopulmonary therapy
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration
