A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting in Flint, MI, serving young children aged 3-5 years old. This contract role spans the full school year and focuses on providing specialized speech and language support to a caseload of approximately 40 students.
Ideal candidates will hold their Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) and possess experience across healthcare, pediatrics, Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY), and school-based settings. This position requires a thorough understanding of early childhood speech and language development and the ability to design and implement individualized intervention plans.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification: SLP with CCC credential
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly ages 3-5
- Background in healthcare, pediatrics, and school-based therapy
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of approximately 40 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for early childhood students
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans focusing on articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication
- Collaborate closely with educators and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance student services
