Psychotherapist (100% Full Time, Days)- Counseling Center

The psychotherapist performs clinical assessment and provides counseling to patients and families, as appropriate. Therapeutic techniques utilized will be consistent with the education and training of the psychotherapist's professional license and scope of practice. The individual works under the clinical supervision of the designated clinical supervisor and administrative supervision of the Director or manager. The psychotherapist has access to confidential patient records and makes decisions both independently and in collaboration with the treatment team.

Required Educational Degree:
Mater's Degree

Major/Area of Concentration:
Social Work or Professional Counseling

Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses:
LISW - Licensed Independent Social Worker in state of Ohio or PCC - Professional Clinical Counselor in state of Ohio

Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years post independent licensure experience

Preferred Experience:
3-5 years post independent licensure experience

Job Essential Functions:

1. Performs clinical assessment and diagnosis in accordance with department policies and professional scope of practice.
2. Collaboratively develops individualized treatment plan for each assigned patient consistent with patient's clinical needs and utilizing input from the patient and family members, when appropriate.
3. Provides therapeutic interventions to patients and families, when appropriate, to include children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric adults within department guidelines and areas of clinical expertise.
4. Completes all documentation in accordance with health system and department policies. Meets requirements for professional standards, regulatory bodies and managed care contracts.
5. Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team to ensure quality and promote continuity of care.
6. Provides after-hours emergency patient management for assigned patients.
7. Participates in program evaluation to monitor effectiveness of services, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance initiatives for regulatory surveys.
8. Provides training and/or supervision for clinical staff as appropriate or requested.
