Respiratory Therapist - Flexible Location: Spearfish or Rapid City, SD Spearfish: 35-bed acute care facility Rapid City: Larger hospital setting (details upon request) Candidate Requirements: Minimum Experience: 2+ years as an RT First-Time Travelers: Considered upon manager review if experience is strong Patient Population: Neonate through Geriatric Critical Care Experience: Pediatric, Neonatal, Adult ICU, and ED care required Education: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Licenses & Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) South Dakota RCP License (must obtain prior to submission; ~30 days processing) BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required Skills & Responsibilities: Must have nursery and high-risk delivery experience (attend high-risk deliveries in Spearfish) Perform EKGs and assist with ground ambulance transport for ventilated or respiratory-compromised patients (transport experience important) Provide respiratory care across hospital and ED; floating only within hospital RT coverage Use of EPIC charting system and Omnicell medication system Familiarity with equipment: Hamilton T1, C1 ventilators (adult, pediatric, neonatal) ResMed APAP, CPAP, Bi-level devices Airvo2 high flow devices, blender setups, cough assist, bedside PFT Scheduling & Other Info: Variable 12-hour shifts: Straight nights with alternating weeks of 4 and 3 shifts Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Possible on-call shifts depending on staffing Holiday work required during contract period Manager approval needed for time off requests Scrubs color: Pewter Free parking available
