Description

  • Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing standard assessments and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that meet both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to establish a unified approach to care.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and families to support their progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure continuity throughout treatment.
  • Maintain precise and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage with ongoing education and team collaboration to stay updated in the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
