A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with credentials in California is needed for a contract position in Santa Clarita, CA, serving K-6 students with mixed disabilities. This role involves itinerant services covering multiple schools with a focus on providing both direct and indirect speech therapy.
Key Qualifications:
- Possession of a California SLP License or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, including SLPs with a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Familiarity with school-based speech-language pathology, including knowledge of healthcare and pediatric settings.
- Ability to conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and deliver speech therapy in compliance with special education regulations.
- Capacity to manage a caseload under a district caseload cap model.
Location and Schedule:
- Assignment in Santa Clarita, CA, supporting TK-6 grades within multiple schools.
- 37.5 hours per week during the 2025-2026 school year (SY).
- Position is contract-based with paid travel among assigned schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer speech and language evaluations for students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
- Deliver direct speech therapy services and provide indirect consultation to staff and families.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with district and state requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
