This position seeks a skilled Occupational Therapist to support K-8 students within a dynamic and collaborative school environment in Arlington Heights, IL. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year, offering 35 hours per week with flexible part-time options available. The opportunity involves working onsite across multiple school locations, providing crucial therapeutic services to support students development and educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of eight Occupational Therapists to manage caseloads across the districts K-8 schools.
  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations to determine special education eligibility.
  • Provide ongoing MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and IEP (Individualized Education Program) services aligned with students needs.
  • Consult with educators and support staff to promote skill generalization and inclusivity within school settings.
  • Participate in building-level teams focused on student progress and accommodations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license is required.
  • Experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred, including familiarity with teletherapy and home health settings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide consultation to educators.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage diverse caseloads and documentation requirements.
  • Commitment to supporting student success within a school-based environment.
