Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to foster cohesive treatment strategies.
  • Provide education and resources for patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical settings.
  • Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure seamless care throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements through continuous education and peer interaction.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from a respected institution in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
