Description

- Deliver dedicated speech therapy focused on varied elements such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to ensure holistic care.
- Guide and educate patients and families to sustain progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatment, providing consistent care throughout the patient's therapeutic journey.
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state and federal standards, alongside organizational protocols.
- Continuously engage with recent developments in speech-language pathology through professional development activities and peer interactions.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified yet.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of employment.
