The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist Assistant is to provide physical therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to support improved independence, mobility, and quality of life.
Essential Functions

- Assist with planning, delivering, and evaluating activity programs
- Prepare and document individualized Activity Care Plans
- Participate in quarterly care plans reviews
- Help set up and clean up activity spaces
- Transport or assist residents to/from activity locations
- Provide direct support during events and daily programs
- Offer input for improving and expanding program offerings
- Dress appropriately in line with the dress code
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Successful completion of a Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program, and passing of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for PTAs
- Proof of licensure as PTA
- Experience in working with the geriatric population
- General medical knowledge preferred
