Description

  • Design tailored treatment plans addressing immediate goals alongside broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to forge unified care strategies.
  • Educate patients and families to bolster therapeutic progress beyond clinical encounters.
  • Assist with occasional evaluations and interventions as needed for inpatient speech therapy, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Document care meticulously and promptly in alignment with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by pursuing education and collaborating with peers.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to achieve ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
