RESPONSIBLITIES
- Pre-referral consultation to general and special education teachers.
- Case management for students with communication impairments only.
- Serve as a member of the IEP/IFSP team for students with other primary disabilities with communication needs.
- Conducts comprehensive evaluations for all communication disabilities.
- Develop IEP/IIIP/IFSP including instructional objectives reflective of student's identified needs
- Provides appropriate individualized instruction and supports to meet individual student needs in area of communication; maintain data on objectives related to instruction.
- Provide indirect and consultative services to teams, teachers, and parents.
- Due process compliance, third-party billing, and program data collection.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must attend all professional development held by the district in person.
- Must be within 20 minutes of internet service if remote wi-fi services are not available.
- May need to attend Evaluation/IEP meetings in person if requested.
- Must attend conferences, open houses, or other school events in person (supervisory hours).
- Must attend standardized testing days in person (MCA, FASTBRIDGE, ACT, etc).
- May need to come in person to test students for special education evaluations and conduct observations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year
- Current Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Three years online experience as Speech Language Pathologist
