Description

  • Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric groups utilizing standardized evaluations and observation methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that address both short and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy targeted at communication, language, fluency, speech production, and swallowing issues.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, families, and caretakers to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to support progress beyond the confines of therapy sessions.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and peer collaboration to stay abreast of the latest treatment modalities.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 30 days of employment.
