Description

  • Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and senior patients utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Create personalized treatment plans that cater to immediate needs as well as long-term communication and swallowing goals.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse team including physical and occupational therapists, medical staff, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care.
  • Engage patients and families in educational initiatives to promote ongoing progress outside the clinical environment.
  • Participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments as needed to maintain continuity of care.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Remain abreast of advancements in speech pathology through ongoing education and peer engagement.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have yet to receive ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is to be acquired within the first 30 days of employment.
