This Physical Therapist will provide physical therapy services to veterans with an array of diagnoses in accordance with Rehabilition Section policies and procedures, APTA, Physical Therapy Board of California guidelines and VA regulions governing the practice of physical therapy. The assignment will include providing physical therapy services for conditions both acute and chronic. Services will include teaching veterans in a class or group form and/or utilizing telehealth modalities.
Clinical
1. Demonstres ability to make autonomous clinical decisions in a Direct Access environment with considerion for local Scope of Practice guidelines. This includes the ability to independently evalue and tre pients who seek physical therapy services.
2. Reviews and screens pient's medical record for approprieness of PT intervention, noting any potential risks or contraindicions to trement and to assist in guiding the evaluion process. Screens outpients for readiness to bein PT.
3. Performs comprehensive evaluions and examinions of pient who have or may develop impairments, activity limitions, and participion restrictions reled to conditions of the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, pulmonary and/or integumentary systems. Evaluions are conducted independently, and results are documented according to departmental and Medical Center standards.
4. Interprets findings, selects approprie tests and measures, and integres findings into the PT plan of care.
5. Establishes a diagnosis within the scope of physical therapy and identifies the approprie rehabilition intervention, including referral to another provider for further consultion.
6. Incorpores holistic care modalities including but not defined by or limited to mindful movement, whole health coaching and self-management training.
7. Demonstres familiarity with medition, mindfulness, biofeedback, and guided imagery, as well as more traditional psychological and behavioral interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
8. Demonstres interest in learning and/or training in Motivional Interviewing communicion techniques used in pient-provider interactions.
9. Participes in care planning with an interdisciplinary team of Integrive Health clinicians and allied professionals.
10. Determines PT Prognosis by incorporing examinion finds with pient's preference in setting clinically approprie trement goals, optimize outcomes and maximize functional independence.

Basic Requirements :

Educion and experience:
(1) Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy AND five (5) years of progressively independent experience as a physical therapist.
(2) Master's degree in Physical Therapy AND two (2) years of progressively independent experience as a physical therapist. (3) Doctore degree in physical therapy.
Licensure: Individuals hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in a Ste, Territory or Commonwealth of the United Stes, or in the District of Columbia. Non-licensed PTs, who otherwise meet the basic requirements in this standard, may be given a temporary appointment as a gradue PT the GS-11 grade level under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 7405 (a)(1)(D) for a period not-to-exceed two years from the de of employment on the condition th such PT provide care only under the supervision of a PT who is licensed. Failure to obtain licensure during th period is justificion for terminion of the temporary appointment
May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfhering Provision as described in the VA Qualificion Standard for this occupion (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupion and meet the criteria).

5. Ability to determine physical therapy prognosis by incorporing examinion findings with the pient's preferences in order to set clinically approprie trement goals, optimize outcomes and maximize functional independence.
6. Ability to independently provide clinical oversight of Physical Therapy Assistants as 7 well as students on clinical affiliions who are in Doctoral PT Programs or PTA Programs.
Preferred Experience: Background in yoga, tai chi,, or MBSR/CALM.

Basic Requirements :

Educion and experience:
(1) Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy AND five (5) years of progressively independent experience as a physical therapist.
(2) Master's degree in Physical Therapy AND two (2) years of progressively independent experience as a physical therapist. (3) Doctore degree in physical therapy.
Licensure: Individuals hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in a Ste, Territory or Commonwealth of the United Stes, or in the District of Columbia. Non-licensed PTs, who otherwise meet the basic requirements in this standard, may be given a temporary appointment as a gradue PT the GS-11 grade level under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 7405 (a)(1)(D) for a period not-to-exceed two years from the de of employment on the condition th such PT provide care only under the supervision of a PT who is licensed. Failure to obtain licensure during th period is justificion for terminion of the temporary appointment

In addition to the basic requirements, candides must possess one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level, hold a valid unrestricted ste license and demonstre all the KSAs below: Demonstred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to make autonomous clinical decisions in a Direct Access environment. This includes ability to independently evalue and tre pients who seek physical therapy services.
2. Skill in performing examinions and evaluions of individuals who have or may develop impairments, activity limitions, and participion restrictions reled to conditions of the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and/or integumentary systems while considering the effects tributable to unique psychosocial and environmental factors.
3. Ability to interpret findings from examinion and evaluion, select approprie test and measures, and integre findings into the physical therapy plan of care for the full range of pient populions.
4. Ability to establish a diagnosis within the scope of physical therapy and identify the approprie rehabilition intervention, including referral to another provider for further consultion as clinically indiced.
5. Ability to determine physical therapy prognosis by incorporing examinion findings with the pient's preferences in order to set clinically approprie trement goals, optimize outcomes and maximize functional independence.
6. Ability to independently provide clinical oversight of Physical Therapy Assistants as 7 well as students on clinical affiliions who are in Doctoral PT Programs or PTA Programs.
