Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This position offers an opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide critical support to students from PreK through 8th grade within a K-12 educational setting. The role focuses on a caseload of approximately 20 students, allowing for impactful, individualized therapy and support. Key Qualifications: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience working in healthcare and pediatric settings preferred Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or eligibility Familiarity with school-based speech-language therapy practices Ability to manage a caseload with diverse speech and language needs effectively Location: Edwardsville, Illinois
Job Type: Part-time contract, aligned with the school calendar (NSY)
Schedule: Two days per week, with an option to combine caseloads from a neighboring district for candidates seeking full-time hours Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide therapy to students in PreK through 8th grade Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Document therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with school and state regulations Attend required meetings and participate in professional development opportunities Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of each student Benefits: Gain experience in a supportive K-12 environment with a manageable caseload Flexible part-time schedule with potential for full-time work by combining districts Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student communication skills Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit an application to explore this rewarding contract opportunity serving students in the Edwardsville area.
