- The rehab support specialist is a unique position that combines the duties of a registration specialist and therapy tech to best meet the daily needs of patient flow through the outpatient therapy clinic. Clinical setting duties include preparing/cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. This may include room turnover, laundry management, temperature checks, equipment and surface cleaning, inventory management and ordering of supplies. The rehab support specialist may also be asked to attend to or check on patients receiving modality treatments that do not require one-on-one supervision. Office setting duties include patient registration, scheduling, insurance benefits and authorizations, communication with physician offices to obtain and send documents, internal document management, answering telephones, greeting patients, collecting payments, and ordering of office and clinic supplies.

- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience
- Preferred: 1-2 years' related experience
- Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task
- Proficient in using computers and computer systems
- Maintains a working knowledge of credit card payment transactions and appropriately utilizes the required programs for registering, and admissions, as directed
- Demonstrates knowledge of project/specialized jobs and performs all functions utilizing organizational and priority setting skills.
