Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides occupational therapy services including treatment, implementation, standardized assessment data, and documentation to students in the school setting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Assistant required
- One (1) year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Pre-K and Elementary (if candidate is interested in MS or HS age group is open to switching some things around)
Caseload Details:
- Approx 35-40 students per caseload
- 14 Ots on staff, OT would start off with a mentor (great support within the department)
- OT will be traveling between schools (sometimes on same day and sometimes on different days – buildings are no more than 10min apart from each other)
- Ideal candidate has good communication skills, team oriented, has previous peds or schools experience, and/or experience working with autism/behaviors

August 11th – End of SY
Start/End time:
- Varies based on school (early start is 8:30a/ late start is 9:30a)
- 7.5 hours a day, M-F
