Clinician should demonstrate competency in offering services to help people manage their mental health symptoms and learn skills to get the most out of life; develop treatment goals are individualized for each person's needs. Clinician will offer an intensive outpatient program for adults which can be an effective alternative to inpatient mental health care for some and a bridge or transitional step after a recent hospitalization for others. Clinician should be able to facilitate aftercare groups as continuation of services at a less intensive frequency, and older adult groups for ongoing support and monitoring, as well as a weekly depression and anxiety group to teach patients how to regulate emotions and manage symptoms. In addition, clinician will offer individual counseling services for eligible adults. Services begin with an assessment and treatment plan. In addition to individual counseling, groups include grief and loss, geriatric mental health, CBT for psychosis, anger manager/emotional regulation, and trauma informed groups for individuals with history of SUD.

In addition to mental help services, clinician should be able to provide SUD treatment for both adults and adolescents including the DUI and other collateral assessments, demonstrate competence in the American Society of Addiction Medicine, SUD treatment planning, relapse outpatient and intensive outpatient, aftercare and relapse prevention groups.

Required qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health counseling or equivalent.
  • 2 years Acute care or community based mental health work.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Working with and/or a knowledge base of homeless services and/or substance use.
