Position Title:
Certified Occupational Therapist K12 School

Litchfield County, Connecticut (Public School District)
About the Role
We are seeking a licensed and nationally certified Occupational Therapist to join our districts special education team . You will support students across K12 through evidence-based interventions, collaboration with educators, and individualized service plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Deliver individual and group occupational therapy during the school day.
- Adapt classroom environments, recommend assistive technology, and offer strategies to support student participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into academic goals.
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in line with federal and state regulations (IDEA, Medicaid, etc.).
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings, staff training, and parent consultations.
- Provide transition services planning for students moving between grade levels or into vocational/post-secondary programs.
Required Qualifications
- Masters or entry-level doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy (per Connecticut licensure requirements).
- Active Connecticut OT license and certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Demonstrated experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of K12 curriculum, developmental disabilities, sensory processing, and educational therapy approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Eligibility or experience in Medicaid billing preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000 $73,000/year (dependent on experience/credentials).
- Work Schedule: Follows the school calendar (approx. August to June), similar to teacher schedule.
