UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center is opening an 11-story, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Fall 2025. The new hospital will include 78 rehabilitation beds and the latest technology all designed to promote functional activity at every turn. Job Description\:
Operating under the UAB Physical Therapy Residency program coordinator, to evaluate, plan, direct and administer patient-focused physical therapy programs as prescribed by the referring physician and as evidenced by the patient's needs. To complete patient related documentation according to professional, departmental and regulatory specifications. To direct physical therapist assistants and rehab techs in the provision of care. To participate in clinical research, clinical teaching and mentoring. Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently registered as a Registered Physical Therapist (PT) or (RPT) by the State of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy required. Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
