Description

  • Assess and evaluate patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans designed to meet immediate goals and enhance long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing abilities.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care approaches.
  • Conduct patient and family education sessions to ensure progress is supported outside of the therapy environment.
  • Provide inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when needed to maintain seamless care throughout the rehabilitation journey.
  • Document patient progress accurately and promptly, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and peer support to stay updated on advances in the field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
