is hiring a Licensed Occupational Therapist to work with our amazing team at the Ash Grove Healthcare Facility and Rehabilitation. About the department: Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, VitalStim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90th percentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction.

A typical day includes: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating occupational therapy treatments for patients by utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to achieve intended oues.

Identifies patients appropriate for rehabilitative therapies

Establishes an effective plan of care using appropriate skills for evaluation and screening

Develops and implements treatment plans that lead to optimal patient oues

Communicates effectively with patients, care team members, physicians, and others

Writes clear, concise, legible documentation that includes appropriate information for care planning

Job Requirements:

Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a degree in Occupational Therapy

Experience: New graduates wee, 1 year of experience preferred

Skills: Problem-solving, planning and time-management, interpersonalmunication and listening skills

Licensure/Certification: Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts; Current State of Missouri Occupational Therapist License

Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance, ability to carry up to 35 lbs., ability to work independently and with frequent distractions

The position is: Full-time days, 7:30am-4:00pm
