Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing standardized assessments and observational insights.
• Create individualized treatment strategies targeting short-term objectives and long-term communication or swallowing enhancements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions emphasizing all aspects of communication, language skills, fluency, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
• Provide education and resources for patients and families to support their progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Engage with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining a seamless continuum of care.
• Document therapy progress accurately and promptly in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
