Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observation methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate goals and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide education for patients and families to support therapy progress outside of the clinical environment.
  • Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient's journey.
  • Keep complete and accurate documentation aligned with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Remain updated on the latest advancements in the field through professional education and collaborative opportunities.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
