Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for diverse age groups utilizing a combination of standardized metrics and observational analysis.
• Create tailored treatment plans that align with immediate goals while considering long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing ambitions.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing challenges.
• Partner closely with a multi-disciplinary team of caregivers, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to form a unified approach to care.
• Educate patients and their families to foster progress between therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations to maintain seamless continuity of care throughout treatment duration.
• Ensure precise and prompt documentation in compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and collaborative learning opportunities.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
